Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
शेषा: प्रजानां पतय: स्रोतोभ्यस्तस्य जज्ञिरे । ऋषयो रोमकूपेभ्य: स्वेदाच्छन्दो बलान्मन:
śeṣāḥ prajānāṁ patayaḥ srotobhyaḥ tasya jajñire | ṛṣayo romakūpebhyaḥ svedāc chando balān manaḥ ||
ヴァシシュタは語った。「残る衆生の主たちは、彼の身体の諸流路（感官の流れ）から生まれた。毛孔からはリシたちが生じ、汗からはヴェーダの韻律（チャンダス, chandas）が生じ、生命の精力からは心（マナス, manas）が生じた。」
