Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
तदपत्यं हि युवयोर्देवानभिभवेद् ध्रुवम् । नहि ते पृथिवी देवी न च द्यौर्न दिवं विभो
tadapatyaṃ hi yuvayor devān abhibhaved dhruvam | nahi te pṛthivī devī na ca dyaur na divaṃ vibho |
ビーシュマは言った。「お二方から生まれる子は、必ずや神々すら圧倒するでしょう。おお主よ、われらの確信では、大地の女神も、虚空も、天界さえも、あなたの威光の力を担うことはできません。たとえすべてが合わさっても支えきれず、その輝きの衝撃によって世界はことごとく灰と化すでしょう。」
