Transliteration

tan nibodha mahābāho sarvaṃ nigadato mama | suvarṇakā dānaṃ tubhyaṃ uttamaṃ phalaṃ dāsyati; yasmād dānārthe śreṣṭhatamaṃ prakīrtitam | mahābāho! suvarṇakā yad rūpaṃ, yasmāt sambhūtaṃ, yathā ca viśeṣa-guṇakārī, tat sarvaṃ te bravīmi—śṛṇu me |

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「よく心得よ、強き腕の者よ。私はすべてを語ろう。黄金の布施は汝に最上の果をもたらす。なぜならそれは、布施の中で最勝と宣言されているからだ。強き腕の者よ、黄金の相（すがた）、それがいかにして生じ、いかなる特別の効力を備えるかを、余すところなく説き明かそう。聞け。」
