Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | vidhiṁ gavāṁ paraṁ śrotum icchāmi nṛpa tattvataḥ | yena tān śāśvatāl lokān arthināṁ prāptuyād iha ||

Translation

ユディシュティラは言った。「王よ、牛に関する最上の作法、すなわち施牛（go-dāna）の儀礼を、真実にして正確な形で聞きたい。これに従うなら、功徳を求める者は、この世にありながら、望まれる永遠の世界に到達し得るであろう。」
