Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
धर्मज्ञ पितामह! यह सब मैं यथावत् रूपसे जानना चाहता हूँ। इसके लिये मेरे मनमें बड़ी उत्कण्ठा है ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | yo vrataṃ vai yathoddiṣṭaṃ tathā sampratipadyate | akhaṇḍaṃ samyag ārabhya tasya lokāḥ sanātanāḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「ユディシュティラよ、聖典（シャーストラ）の定めるとおりに誓戒（ヴラタ）を受け、正しく始めてから一度も途切れさせずに守り抜く者は、永遠の諸世界に至る。この教えは、ダルマが意志だけで保たれるのではなく、経典の規範に従う忠実で不断の実践によって支えられることを示している。」
