Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
स्वधीतस्यापि च फल दृश्यतेअमुत्र चेह च । इहलोके<थवा नित्यं ब्रह्मलोके च मोदते,वेदोंके स्वाध्यायका फल भी इहलोक और परलोकमें भी देखा जाता है। स्वाध्यायशील द्विज इहलोक और ब्रह्मलोकमें भी सदा आनन्द भोगता है
svadhītasyāpi ca phalaṃ dṛśyate ’mutra ceha ca | ihaloke ’thavā nityaṃ brahmaloke ca modate ||
ビーシュマは言った。「ヴェーダの自習と誦読（スヴァーディヤーヤ）の果は、この世にも来世にも現れる。日々の誦読に励む“二度生まれ”（ドヴィジャ）は、地上にあっても梵天界（ブラフマローカ）にあっても、つねに歓喜している。」
