गोप्रदानगुणाः तथा कपिलागोविधानम्
Merits of Cow-Gift and the Origin-Account of Kapilā Cows
तत्र सर्वसहा: क्षान्ता वत्सला गुरुवर्तिन: । अहंकारैरविरहिता यान्ति शक्र नरोत्तमा:
tatra sarvasahāḥ kṣāntā vatsalā guruvartinaḥ | ahaṃkārair avirahītā yānti śakra narottamāḥ || indra!
ビーシュマは言った。「おお、シャクラ（インドラ）よ。その境地に至るのは人のうち最上の者のみ――あらゆる艱難に耐え、忍耐して赦し、慈しみ深く、長老と師の教えに従って生き、慢心を離れた者である。力や地位ではなく、これらの徳こそが、より高き世界にふさわしい者の印なのだ。」
