भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम्‌ । यथापृच्छत्‌ पद्मयोनिमेतदेव शतक्रतु:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | yathāpṛcchat padmayonim etad eva śatakratuḥ |

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「この件については、学識ある者たちが古の由来を引いて語る。かつてシャタクラトゥ（インドラ）が、蓮華より生まれし者（ブラフマー）に、まさにこの問いを発したように、ここでも同様である。」
