Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)
यस्यां यस्यामवस्थायां यत् करोति शुभाशुभम् | तस्यां तस्यामवस्थायां भुद्धक्ते जन्मनि जन्मनि,जिस-जिस अवस्थामें वह जो-जो शुभ या अशुभ कर्म करता है, प्रत्येक जन्मकी उसी- उसी अवस्थामें वह उसका फल भोगता है
yasyāṁ yasyām avasthāyāṁ yat karoti śubhāśubham | tasyāṁ tasyām avasthāyāṁ bhunkte janmani janmani ||
ビーシュマは言った。「人がいかなる境遇、いかなる人生の段階において善悪の業をなすとしても、生まれ生まれにおいて、その同種の境遇にてその果を受ける。かくして業は、なされた時の状態に応じて実を結ぶのである。」
