Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
मुदितो वसति प्राज्ञ: शक्रेण सह पार्थिव
mudito vasati prājñaḥ śakreṇa saha pārthiva
ビーシュマは言った。「王よ、歓喜に満ちた賢者は、シャクラ(インドラ)と共に住まう。」
भीष्म उवाच
Bhīṣma links wisdom and righteous living with a blessed posthumous state: the truly discerning person attains joyful residence among the gods, symbolized by dwelling with Indra.
In Bhīṣma’s instruction to the king (Yudhiṣṭhira) in the Anuśāsana Parva, he describes the fate of the virtuous and wise, stating that such a person lives happily in Indra’s company.
