तडागकृद्‌ वृक्षरोपी इष्टयज्ञश्न यो द्विज: । एते स्वर्गे महीयन्ते ये चान्ये सत्यवादिन:

Transliteration

taḍāgakṛd vṛkṣaropī iṣṭayajñaś ca yo dvijaḥ | ete svarge mahīyante ye cānye satyavādinaḥ ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「池を築き、樹を植え、定めにかなって祭祀（ヤジュニャ）を修する二度生まれ（ドヴィジャ）は天において尊ばれる。真実の言葉を守り語る者たちもまた、同じく天にて称えられる。」
