नियम किंचिदारप्स्ये युवयोर्यदि रोचते । परिचर्योडस्मि यत्ताभ्यां युवाभ्यामविशड्कया
niyamaṁ kiñcid ārabhsye yuvayor yadi rocate | paricaryā udasmi yat tābhyāṁ yuvābhyām aviśaṅkayā ||
ビーシュマは言った。「もし二人がよしとするなら、我は一つの戒行（ニヤマ）を始めよう。その掟のもと、そなたら夫婦は、少しのためらいも疑いもなく、全き注意をもって我に仕えるのだ。」
