इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें विवाहधर्मके प्रसंगमें वर्णयंकरकी उत्पत्तिका वर्णणविषयक अड्भधतालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
Iti prakāraḥ Śrīmahābhārata Anuśāsanaparvaṇi antargata Dānadharmaparvaṇi vivāhadharmaprasange varṇasaṅkarotpattikāvarṇanaviṣayakaḥ aṣṭacatvāriṃśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ.
かくして『聖マハーバーラタ』アヌシャーサナ・パルヴァのうち、ダーナ・ダルマ（布施の法）に属し、婚姻の義務の文脈において、ヴァルナ・サンカラ（家系・社会秩序の混淆）の起こりを述べた第四十八章は終わる。
