आत्मवद् वै प्रयुड्जीरन् संस्कारान् ब्राह्मणादय: । धर्मशास्त्रेषु वर्णानां निश्चयो<यं प्रदृश्यते
ātmavad vai prayuñjīran saṃskārān brāhmaṇādayaḥ | dharmaśāstreṣu varṇānāṃ niścayo 'yaṃ pradṛśyate ||
ビーシュマは言った。「バラモンをはじめ他の諸ヴァルナも、子らに対して定められたサンスカーラ（聖なる通過儀礼）を、自らに施すのと同様に執り行うべきである。ヴァルナの儀礼に関しては、ダルマ・シャーストラにおいてこの結論が確定している。」
