अस्वामिकस्य स्वामित्वं यस्मिन् सम्प्रति लक्ष्यते । यो वर्ण: पोषयेत् तं च तद्धर्णस्तस्य जायते
asvāmakasya svāmitvaṃ yasmin samprati lakṣyate | yo varṇaḥ poṣayet taṃ ca tadvarṇas tasya jāyate ||
ビーシュマは言った。「公に認められた後見人を持たぬ子については、現にその子の主として見られ、扶養し養育する者が属するヴァルナ（身分）が、その子にもまた生ずるものと見なされる。」
