विप्रवादा: सुबहव: श्रूयन्ते पुत्रकारिता: । अत्र नो मुहतां राजन् संशयं छेत्तुमहसि
vipravādāḥ subahavaḥ śrūyante putrakāritāḥ | atra no muhatāṃ rājan saṃśayaṃ chettum arhasi ||
ビーシュマは言った。「学識ある者たちの間では、男子をもうけることについて多くの、さまざまな見解が語られている。この件において、王よ、われらは惑い、確かな結論に至れぬ。ゆえに、われらの疑いを断ち切り、定めを示されよ。」
