अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence
ये त्वेवंगुणजातीयास्तेभ्यो दत्त महाफलम् | सहस्रगुणमाप्रोति गुणाहाय प्रदायक:
ye tv evaṁguṇajātīyās tebhyo dattaṁ mahāphalam | sahasraguṇam āpnoti guṇāhāya pradāyakaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「かくのごとき徳を真に備えた者に施された布施は、大いなる果報を生む。しかも施主は千倍の報いを得る。受け手の徳と、ふさわしい受器を選ぶ施主の見識とによって、施しの功徳が増し高まるからである。」
