अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence
वैश्वदेवं च ये मूढा विप्राय ब्रह्मचारिणे । ददते नेह राजेन्द्र ते लोकान् भुज्जतेडशुभान्
vaiśvadevaṃ ca ye mūḍhā viprāya brahmacāriṇe | dadate neha rājendra te lokān bhuñjate 'śubhān ||
ビーシュマは言った。「王よ、この世にあって迷える者どもが、ヴァイシュヴァデーヴァ（Vaiśvadeva）の供物——分かち合うべき食——を梵行者たるバラモン（brahmacārin）に施さぬなら、彼らは不吉なる界を味わうことになる。日々のもてなしと聖なる分配を怠り、とりわけ戒を守る求道者を顧みぬことは、死後に害ある報いを招くのだ。」
