कीर्तितान् कीर्तयिष्यामि सर्वपापप्रमोचनान् । देवताओंके अनन्तर समस्त पापोंसे मुक्त करनेवाले तपस्यामें बढ़े-चढ़े तपःसिद्ध ब्रह्मर्षियोंके प्र्यात नाम बतलाता हूँ
Bhīṣma uvāca — kīrtitān kīrtayiṣyāmi sarva-pāpa-pramocanān | devatābhyaḥ anantaram samasta-pāpebhyo mukta-karaṇe tapasyāṁ baḍhe-caḍhe tapaḥ-siddhān brahmarṣīṇāṁ priyān nāmāni kathayāmi ||
ビーシュマは言った。「今、すでに称えられたその名を、あらためて宣言しよう――あらゆる罪を解き放つ名である。神々の次に、タパス（苦行）によって成就し、苦行において卓越し、諸罪をことごとく除くブラフマリシ（梵仙）たちの、尊ぶべき名を汝に告げる。」
