कीर्तितान् कीर्तयिष्यामि सर्वपापप्रमोचनान् । देवताओंके अनन्तर समस्त पापोंसे मुक्त करनेवाले तपस्यामें बढ़े-चढ़े तपःसिद्ध ब्रह्मर्षियोंके प्र्यात नाम बतलाता हूँ
Bhīṣma uvāca — kīrtitān kīrtayiṣyāmi sarva-pāpa-pramocanān | devatābhyaḥ anantaram samasta-pāpebhyo mukta-karaṇe tapasyāṁ baḍhe-caḍhe tapaḥ-siddhān brahmarṣīṇāṁ priyān nāmāni kathayāmi ||
ビーシュマは言った。「今、すでに称えられたその名を、あらためて宣言しよう――あらゆる罪を解き放つ名である。神々の次に、タパス(苦行)によって成就し、苦行において卓越し、諸罪をことごとく除くブラフマリシ(梵仙)たちの、尊ぶべき名を汝に告げる。」
भीष्म उवाच
Bhishma emphasizes the purifying power of remembering and reciting revered names—especially of gods and perfected sages—presenting sacred remembrance as a dharmic means for moral cleansing and release from sin.
Bhishma, continuing his instruction, announces that after mentioning the gods he will now enumerate the beloved names of Brahmarishis renowned for ascetic accomplishment, describing them as capable of freeing one from all sins.
