आदित्या वसवो रुद्रा: साश्रिन: पितरो5डपि च । धर्म: श्रुत॑ तपो दीक्षा व्यवसाय: पितामह:
ādityā vasavo rudrāḥ sāśrinaḥ pitaro ’pi ca | dharmaḥ śrutaṃ tapo dīkṣā vyavasāyaḥ pitāmahaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「アーディティヤ、ヴァス、ルドラ、ピトリ（祖霊）たち、そしてダルマ。さらに、シュルティ（聖なる教え）、タパス（苦行）、ディークシャー（受戒の規律）、ヴィヤヴァサーヤ（揺るがぬ決意）、ならびにピターマハ（大祖）—これらが我らを護らんことを。」
