सौम्या गौ: सुरभियद्देवी विश्रवाश्व महानृषि: । संकल्प: सागरो गजड्जा स्रवन्त्यो5थ मरुद्गण:
bhīṣma uvāca |
saumyā gauḥ surabhir yad devī viśravāś ca mahān ṛṣiḥ |
saṅkalpaḥ sāgaraḥ gaṅgādyāḥ sravantyo 'tha marudgaṇaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「また（神々と聖仙たちの名を連ねるこの聖なる系譜の中には）、柔和なる女神の牛スラビー（Surabhi）、大聖ヴィシュラヴァ（Viśravā）、サンカルパ（Saṅkalpa）—決意の力、海、ガンガー（Gaṅgā）に始まる流れゆく諸河、そしてマルット（Maruts）の群れもまた挙げられる。」
