नमां मनुष्या: पश्यन्ति न मां पश्यन्ति देवता: । पापेनापिहित: पाप: पापमेवाभिजायते

Transliteration

na māṁ manuṣyāḥ paśyanti na māṁ paśyanti devatāḥ | pāpenāpihitaḥ pāpaḥ pāpam evābhijāyate ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「人は我を見ず、神々もまた我を見ない。」そう思い込むとき、罪に覆われた罪人は罪を重ね、ただ罪の胎—卑しく害をもたらす生—にのみ生まれ落ちる。
