स्वदेशे परदेशे वाप्यतिथिं नोपवासयेत् । कर्म वै सफल कृत्वा गुरूणां प्रतिपादयेत्
Bhīṣma uvāca | svadeśe paradeśe vāpy atithiṁ nopavāsayet | karma vai saphalaṁ kṛtvā gurūṇāṁ pratipādayet ||
ビーシュマは言った。自国であれ他国であれ、客を飢えさせてはならぬ。長老や師が命じた務めは、必ず成し遂げてから、その旨を彼らに報告すべきである。
