संशय: सुगमस्तत्र दुर्गमस्तस्य निर्णय: । दृष्ट श्रुतमनन्तं हि यत्र संशयदर्शनम्
saṁśayaḥ sugamas tatra durgamas tasya nirṇayaḥ | dṛṣṭa-śrutam anantaṁ hi yatra saṁśaya-darśanam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「ダルマの事柄においては、疑いを起こすことは容易いが、その決断に到ることはきわめて難しい。なぜなら、直接に見られるものも、権威ある伝承として聞かれるものも、ともに尽きることがなく――そして両者のうちに、疑いの生ずる場面は必ず現れるからである。」
