पराक्रमैस्तेडपि तदा व्यघ्नन्नत्रिसुरक्षिता: । उद्धासितश्न सविता देवास्त्राता हतासुरा:
parākramais te ’pi tadā vyaghnaṁn atrisurakṣitāḥ | uddhāsitaś ca savitā devās trātā hatāsurāḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「そのとき、アトリに守られた神々もまた、自らの武勇によって敵を打ち倒した。太陽（サヴィトリ）は燦然と輝きを取り戻し、神々は救われ、アスラは滅ぼされた。アトリの霊的威光に灼かれて大いなるアスラが焼かれるのを見て、彼の庇護のもと安んじた神々は奮い立って行動し、ダイティヤを討ち取った。この段は、正しき守護と内なる苦行が正当な努力を強めることを示す。神の助けは勇気に取って代わるのではなく、破壊の力に対してそれを勝利へ導くのである。」
