सोमेन दत्ता भार्या मे त्वया चापद्ताद्य वै | इत्युक्तो वचनात् तस्य नारदेन जलेश्वर:
somena dattā bhāryā me tvayā cāpahṛtādyavai | ity ukto vacanāt tasya nāradena jaleśvaraḥ ||
アルジュナは言った。「我が妻はソーマによって我に授けられた。しかるに今日、汝が彼女を連れ去ったのだ。」この言葉はナーラダの報告に基づき、水界の主に突きつけられ、正当な婚姻の権利と権力の濫用とのあいだにある倫理的緊張を浮かび上がらせた。
अजुन उवाच
