कीर्तितं परम॑ ब्रह्म सर्वश्रुतिपरायणम्‌ | मड्ूल्यं सर्वभूतानां पवित्र बहुकीर्तितम्‌

bhīṣma uvāca | kīrtitaṁ paramaṁ brahma sarvaśrutiparāyaṇam | mūlyaṁ sarvabhūtānāṁ pavitraṁ bahukīrtitam |

ビーシュマは言った。「至上のブラフマン—すべてのヴェーダの究極の趣旨として立てられるもの—はすでに宣言された。それは万有の真の価値であり、繰り返し讃えられる浄化者である。至上の自己を絶えず唱え念じ、併せて地上を正法によって治めた神々・リシ・義なる王たちの名を恭しく唱えることは、あらゆる生類にとって吉祥であると説かれる。かくして絶えず讃嘆すれば病は鎮まり、行いは最上の力づけを得る。ゆえに、バーラタよ、人は日々—朝夕—心を清めて主を讃え、またそれらの神々・聖仙・王者の模範の名を唱えるべきである。」
