आदित्यवंशप्रभवं महेन्द्रसमविक्रमम्,सूर्यवंशमें उत्पन्न और देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी इला और बुधके प्रिय पुत्र त्रिभुवनविख्यात राजा पुरूरवाका नाम कीर्तन करें
ādityavaṃśaprabhavaṃ mahendrasamavikramam | sūryavaṃśe utpannaṃ ca ilā-budhapriya-putraṃ tribhuvanavikhyātaṃ rājānaṃ purūravaḥ nāma kīrtayet ||
ビーシュマは言った。「王プルーラヴァス（Purūravas）の名を誦し、讃えるがよい――太陽の系譜（Āditya）に生まれ、インドラ（Indra）に比肩する武勇を備え、イラー（Ilā）とブダ（Budha）に愛された子であり、三界に名高い王である。」
