मुनयश्वैव सिद्धाश्च॒ तपोमोक्षपरायणा: । शुचिस्मिता: कीर्तयतां प्रयच्छन्ति शुभं नृूणाम्
munayaś caiva siddhāś ca tapo-mokṣa-parāyaṇāḥ | śuci-smitāḥ kīrtayatāṃ prayacchanti śubhaṃ nṝṇām ||
ビーシュマは言った。「牟尼たちと成就者(シッダ)—苦行と解脱に専心する者—は清らかで、やわらかな微笑をたたえ、彼らの名を誦し讃える人々に吉祥の善を授ける。」
भीष्म उवाच
Honoring and praising spiritually accomplished beings—sages and siddhas devoted to tapas and moksha—brings auspicious results, emphasizing reverence for virtue and spiritual attainment as a source of ethical uplift.
Bhishma continues his instruction in Anushasana Parva by describing classes of exalted beings; here he highlights munis and siddhas and states that those who recite and celebrate them receive beneficial, auspicious outcomes.
