वेदान्तगो ब्राह्मण: स्यात् क्षत्रियो विजयी भवेत् । वैश्यो धनसमृद्धः स्याच्छूद्र: सुखमवाप्रुयात्
vedāntago brāhmaṇaḥ syāt kṣatriyo vijayī bhavet | vaiśyo dhanasamṛddhaḥ syāc chūdraḥ sukham avāpnuyāt ||
ビーシュマは言った。「ヴィシュヌ・サハスラナーマを聴聞し、誦し、歌い称えることにより、ブラーフマナはヴェーダーンタに通じる者となり、クシャトリヤは戦に勝利し、ヴァイシャは財に恵まれ、シュードラは安楽を得る。」この教えは、信愛の憶念がもつ浄化と福徳の力を示し、各々の正当な目的に応じて、あらゆる身分に益をもたらすことを説く。
