Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)
एष देव मया प्रोक्तः स्त्रीधर्मो वचनात् तव । या त्वेवंभाविनी नारी सा पतिव्रतभागिनी
eṣa deva mayā proktaḥ strīdharmaḥ vacanāt tava | yā tv evaṃbhāvinī nārī sā pativratabhāginī ||
マヘーシュヴァラは言った。「主よ、あなたの命に従い、私はこの女人のダルマを説き明かした。ここに述べたあり方のままに生を整える女は、パティヴラター（pativratā）—夫への揺るぎない貞節と奉仕を聖なる誓願として守ること—その果報を正しく分かち受ける者となる。」
