Pratyakṣa–Āgama–Ācāra: Doubt, Proof, and the Practice of Dharma (प्रत्यक्ष–आगम–आचारविचारः)
विमुक्ता दारसंयोगैरविमुक्ता: सर्वसंकरै: । विमुक्ता: सर्वपापैश्न चरन्ति मुनयो वने,वानप्रस्थ मुनि स्त्री-समागम, सब प्रकारके संकर तथा सम्पूर्ण पापोंसे दूर रहकर वनमें विचरते रहते हैं
vimuktā dārasaṃyogair avimuktāḥ sarvasaṅkaraiḥ | vimuktāḥ sarvapāpebhyaś caranti munayo vane ||
シュリー・マヘーシュヴァラは言った。「夫婦の交わりを離れ、いかなる混淆や道徳的混乱にも絡め取られず、あらゆる罪より解き放たれた聖仙たちは森を遍歴する。ゆえに林住者(ヴァーナプラスタ)の規律は、克己と行いの清浄、そして家の絆からの退去によって示される。」
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The verse praises the vānaprastha/ascetic ideal: one should withdraw from conjugal attachment, avoid morally confusing or improper mixtures (saṅkara), and live with purity and restraint so that one’s life becomes free from sin.
Maheśvara is describing the conduct of forest-dwelling sages: detached from household life and purified of wrongdoing, they live by wandering in the forest, embodying disciplined renunciation.
