Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
यत् तद् भगवता पूर्व दत्त चक्रं तवानघ । जलान्तरचरं हत्वा दैत्यं च बलगर्वितम्
yat tad bhagavatā pūrva datta cakraṁ tavānagha | jalāntaracaraṁ hatvā daityaṁ ca balagarvitam ||
ヴァースデーヴァは言った。「罪なき者よ、かつて祝福された主が、水中を行き来し力に酔い驕った阿修羅を討ったのち、汝に授けたその円盤は、牛の印を戴くヴリシャドヴァジャ（シヴァ）自らが生み出し、汝に与えたものだ。その武器は火のごとく燃え輝き、驚異の光彩を備え、抗しがたい。」
