तस्यैव पुत्रप्रवरो मन्दारो नाम विश्रुत: । महादेववराच्छक्रं वर्षार्बुदमयोधयत्,उसीका श्रेष्ठ पुत्र मन्दार नामसे विख्यात हुआ, जो महादेवजीके वरसे एक अर्बुद वर्षोंतक इन्द्रके साथ युद्ध करता रहा
tasyaiva putrapravaro mandāro nāma viśrutaḥ | mahādevavarāc chakraṃ varṣārbudam ayodhayat |
その子らのうち最も卓越した者は、マンダーラの名で世に知られた。マハーデーヴァの恩寵により、彼はシャクラ(インドラ)と、まる一アルブダ—十クロール年—にわたり戦い続けた。
वासुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights the potency of divine grace (Mahādeva’s boon) in enabling extraordinary endurance and martial capability, while also implying that even prolonged, superhuman conflict remains part of the moral and cosmic order in which power is granted and tested.
Vāsudeva describes a renowned son named Mandāra who, having received a boon from Mahādeva, fought Śakra (Indra) for an immensely long period—an arbuda of years—emphasizing his fame and the scale of the struggle.
