Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अपि कीट: पतड़्जो वा भवेयं शड्कराज्ञया । न तु शक्र त्वया दत्त त्रलोक्यमपि कामये
api kīṭaḥ pataṅgo vā bhaveyaṃ śaṅkarājñayā | na tu śakra tvayā dattaṃ trailokyam api kāmaye ||
ヴァースデーヴァは言った。「シャンカラの命により、私は虫にも蛾にもなろう。だが、シャクラよ、そなたの授けるものなら、三界の主権でさえ望まぬ。マハーデーヴァが定める境遇がいかに卑しくとも、それをこそ至上の成就と数える。されど彼以外の者から、神々を統べる位を受けたいとは思わぬ。」
