Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

अनुग्रहर्थ विप्राणां शूणु वत्स समासत: । तानि ते कीर्तयिष्यामि यन्मां त्वं परिपृच्छसि

anugrahārthaṃ viprāṇāṃ śṛṇu vatsa samāsataḥ | tāni te kīrtayiṣyāmi yan māṃ tvaṃ paripṛcchasi ||

「ブラーフマナたちに恩寵を垂れんがため、愛しき子よ、手短に聞きなさい。神々が語ったそれらの御姿を、あなたが私に問うていることのすべてとして、私は語り告げよう。」
