Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
taṁ cāha bhagavāṁs tuṣṭo granthakāro bhaviṣyasi | vatsākṣayā ca te kīrtis trilokye vai bhaviṣyati ||
The verse presents a dharmic ideal: sincere conduct that pleases the divine (or the venerable authority) results in lasting merit—here symbolized by the blessing of becoming a respected author and attaining imperishable fame across the three worlds.
A revered figure, pleased with the addressed person, grants a boon: the person will become a granthakāra (composer/author), and their renown will be akṣayā (imperishable), extending throughout triloka (the three worlds).
