Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
रुद्रभवत्या तु कृष्णेन जगद् व्याप्तं महात्मना । त॑ं प्रसाद्य तदा देवं बदर्या किल भारत
rudrabhavatyā tu kṛṣṇena jagad vyāptaṃ mahātmanā | taṃ prasādya tadā devaṃ badaryā kila bhārata ||
ビーシュマは語った。「ルドラの力を具えた大いなる魂のクリシュナによって、この全世界は遍く満たされている。おおバーラタよ、昔、クリシュナはバダリーにおいてその神（マハーデーヴァ）を歓喜させ、天眼をもつ主より、あらゆるものに勝る“最愛”の境地を得たという。かくして彼は諸世界における最も愛される者となった。」
