मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
धर्मपत्नीरतो नित्यमग्निष्टोमफलं लभेत् । जो अपनी ही धर्मपत्नीमें अनुराग रखते हुए निरन्तर तीन वर्षोतक प्रतिदिन एक समय भोजन करके रहता है
bhīṣma uvāca | dharmapatnīrato nityam agniṣṭomaphalaṃ labhet | dvāviṃśe divase prāpte yo bhuṅkte ekabhोजनम् |
ビーシュマは言った。「つねに自らの正妻（法にかなう妻）に心を寄せ、貞節を守る者は、アグニシュトーマ祭の功徳を得る。同様に、定められた期間が満ちたとき（ここでは第二十二日と示される）一日に一度だけ食を取り、厳しく節制する者もまた、祭祀の功徳を得るのである。」
