तत्र शंखपताके द्वे युगान्तं कल्पमेव च । अयुतायुतं तथा पद्म समुद्र च तथा वसेत्‌

Transliteration

tatra śaṅkha-patāke dve yugāntaṁ kalpam eva ca | ayutāyutaṁ tathā padma samudraṁ ca tathā vaset ||

Translation

ビーシュマは語った。「その高き界において、誓戒を守る者は、はなはだ広大な時の量を生きると言われる。すなわち『シャンクハ（Śaṅkha）』二つと『パターカー（Patākā）』二つ、さらにユガーンタ（Yugānta）、カルパ（Kalpa）、アユターायुタ（Ayutāyuta）、パドマ（Padma）、そして『サムドラ（Samudra）』に及ぶ。これは、誓いに基づくダルマの果として、梵天界（Brahmaloka）にきわめて長く住することを示す。」
