सदा द्वादशमासान्‌ वै सत्यव्रतपरायण: । तस्य लोका: शुभा दिव्या देवराजर्षिपूजिता:

Transliteration

sadā dvādaśa-māsān vai satya-vrata-parāyaṇaḥ | tasya lokāḥ śubhā divyā deva-rāja-ṛṣi-pūjitāḥ ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言う。「十二か月のあいだ終始、真実の誓戒に堅く帰依する者は、吉祥にして神聖なる諸世界に至る。そこは諸天、王の聖仙（ラージャ・リシ）、天の聖仙（デーヴァ・リシ）により尊崇される境地である。」ここでの倫理的要点は、時をかけて戒として守り抜かれた真実が、霊的成就の高みに直結し、最上位の存在たちの間での名誉をもたらすということである。
