नरेश्वर! ब्राह्मणोंकी पूजा, देवताओंको नमस्कार और गुरुजनोंको प्रणाम स्नानके बाद ही करने चाहिये ।।
Nareśvara! brāhmaṇānāṁ pūjā, devatānāṁ namaskāraḥ, gurujanānāṁ praṇāmaś ca snānād eva kartavyaḥ. Animantrito na gacchet yajñaṁ gacchet darśakaḥ. Anarcite hānāyuṣyaṁ gamanaṁ tatra, Bhārata.
ビーシュマは言った。「王よ、ブラーフマナへの供養、神々への礼拝、師や長老への敬礼は、沐浴の後にのみ行うべきである。招かれぬまま、いかなる所へも行ってはならぬ。だが、ただ見物としてなら、祭祀（ヤジュニャ）には招かれずとも赴いてよい。バーラタよ、敬われぬ場所へ行くことは寿命を減ずる。」
