इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें छत्रदान और उपानहदानकी प्रशंसानामक छानबेवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate anuśāsanaparvaṇi antargate dānadharmaparvaṇi chatradāna-upānahadāna-praśaṃsā-nāmakaḥ ṣaṇṇavati-tamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ

Translation

かくして『シュリー・マハーバーラタ』の「アヌシャーサナ・パルヴァ」（教誡篇）における「ダーナ・ダルマ（布施の法）」の章段、題して「傘の施与と履物の施与を讃える」第九十六章は終わった。倫理の文脈においてこの結語は、日々の生活で人を守り支えるような、素朴で実際的な施しでさえも、功徳あるダルマの行いとして尊ばれることを示している。
