तस्यायं भविता पुत्रो बालो भुवि महारथ: । ततः: षोडश वर्षाणि स्थास्यत्यमरसत्तमा:,'श्रेष्ठ देवगण! पृथ्वीपर यह वर्चा उन्हीं अर्जुनका पुत्र होगा, जो बाल्यावस्थामें ही महारथी माना जायगा। जन्म लेनेके बाद सोलह वर्षकी अवस्थातक यह वहाँ रहेगा
tasyāyaṃ bhavitā putro bālo bhuvi mahārathaḥ | tataḥ ṣoḍaśa varṣāṇi sthāsyaty amara-sattamāḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「この者には一人の子が生まれよう。その子は幼くしてなお、地上において大車戦士として名を馳せる。しかるのち、不死者のうち最勝なる者たちよ、彼は十六歳に至るまでそこに留まるであろう。」
