वने काश्चिचज्जले काश्ित् काश्रिद् वेश्मसु चाड़ना: । यथायोग्यं यथाप्रीति चिक्रीडु: पार्थकृष्णयो:
vane kāścid jale kāścit kāścid veśmasu cāḍanāḥ | yathāyogyaṃ yathāprīti cikrīḍuḥ pārthakṛṣṇayoḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。女たちのうち、ある者は森で、ある者は水で、またある者は館の内で戯れた—それぞれが場にふさわしく、かつクリシュナとアルジュナの意にかなうように遊んだのである。この場面は、所と時に応じた振る舞いが求められ、主人の望みに沿うべきだという宮廷の秩序を際立たせている。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights aucitya—acting suitably to place, time, and relationship—showing that even enjoyment is framed by propriety and consideration of others’ preferences.
Vaiśampāyana narrates a scene of recreation: groups of women engage in playful activities in different settings—forest, water, and houses—arranged in ways that are fitting and pleasing to Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna.
