तथा तु मुदिता: सर्वे पाण्डवा विगतज्वरा: । अवसन् पृथिवीपालांस्तापयन्त: स्वतेजसा,इस प्रकार सभी पाण्डव अपने तेजसे दूसरे नरेशोंको संतप्त करते हुए निश्चिन्त तथा आनन्दमग्न होकर वहाँ निवास करते थे
tathā tu muditāḥ sarve pāṇḍavā vigatajvarāḥ | avasan pṛthivīpālāṁs tāpayantaḥ svatejasā ||
かくしてパーンダヴァたちは皆、喜びに満ち憂いを離れてそこに住み、その自らの威光によって他の諸王を圧し従えた。この偈は安定した治世の一時を示す。内なる泰然と外なる権威とが相まって秩序を立て、無益な残虐によらず、鍛えられた力の自然な優越によって世を治めたのである。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Legitimate authority (tejas) paired with inner freedom from agitation (vigatajvara) sustains social order: when rulers are composed and disciplined, their very presence restrains rival powers and stabilizes the realm.
Vaiśampāyana reports that the Pāṇḍavas are living contentedly and without worry, while their influence and radiance effectively keep other kings in check, indicating a period of secure residence and recognized supremacy.
