तेषां शराणां वेगेन शितानां तिग्मतेजसाम् | विमुह्यमानो राधेयो यत्नात् तमनुधावति,उन दुःसह तेजवाले तीखे बाणोंके वेगपूर्वक आघातसे राधानन्दन कर्णको मूर्च्छा आने लगी। वह बड़ी कठिनाईसे अर्जुनकी ओर बढ़ा
teṣāṁ śarāṇāṁ vegena śitānāṁ tigmātejasām | vimuhyamāno rādheyo yatnāt tam anudhāvati ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。刃のごとく鋭く、烈しい威光を帯びた矢の疾撃を受け、ラーデーヤ(カルナ)は目眩に襲われ、意識を失いかけた。だがなお、懸命にこらえてアルジュナを追い迫った。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya endurance: even when overwhelmed by pain and disorientation, a warrior is portrayed as striving to maintain resolve and continue the chosen course of action. It also underscores the moral tension of battle—valor and persistence coexist with the destructive force of weapons.
Karna is struck hard by a rapid volley of sharp, powerful arrows. He begins to stagger and nearly faints, but he forces himself onward and continues pursuing Arjuna.
