वृथारोषप्रतिज्ञो वै नाहं भवितुमुत्सहे । अनिस्तीर्णो हि मां रोषो देहेदग्निरिवारणिम्
Ūrva uvāca | vṛthā-roṣa-pratijño vai nāhaṃ bhavitum utsahe | anistīrṇo hi māṃ roṣo dehed agnir ivāraṇim ||
ウールヴァは言った。「我が怒りと誓願が空しく終わる者となることなど、我には耐えられぬ。もしこの憤怒が定められた結末へと遂げられぬなら、費やされぬ烈怒は我が身を焼き尽くすであろう――火がアラニの木を焼き尽くすように。」
