Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
वसिष्ठेनाभ्यनुज्ञातस्तस्मिन्नेव धराधरे । सो5कामयत राजर्षिविंहतु सह भार्यया,उसके बाद वसिष्ठजीकी आज्ञा लेकर राजर्षि संवरणने उसी पर्वतपर अपनी पत्नीके साथ विहार करनेकी इच्छा की
vasiṣṭhenābhyanujñātas tasminn eva dharādhare | so 'kāmayata rājarṣiḥ vihartuṃ saha bhāryayā ||
ヴァシシュタの許しを得ると、王仙サンヴァラナは、その同じ山において妻とともに、心安らぐ交わりのうちに遊楽しようと望んだ。
वसिष्ठ उवाच
Enjoyment (vihāra) is not condemned, but it is framed as dharmic when undertaken with propriety—here marked by the explicit permission of a revered sage (Vasiṣṭha), emphasizing restraint, consent, and respect for guidance.
After receiving Vasiṣṭha’s approval, the royal sage Saṃvaraṇa expresses the wish to remain on that same mountain and enjoy time there together with his wife.
