भीमस्य जलान्वेषणं तथा वनविश्रान्तिः
Bhīma’s Search for Water and the Forest Halt
भग्नदर्प हृतधनं तं तथा वशमागतम् | स वैरं मनसा ध्यात्वा द्रोणो द्रुपदमब्रवीत्
bhagnadarpaṁ hṛtadhanaṁ taṁ tathā vaśam āgatam | sa vairaṁ manasā dhyātvā droṇo drupadam abravīt ||
誇りは砕かれ、財は奪われ、身もまた完全に屈服させられて、ドルパダ王は沈黙のうちに従うほかなかった。ドローナは胸中に旧怨を思い起こし、ついにドルパダ王に語りかけた——それは、私怨が「正当な報い」の名のもとに遂げられようとする苛烈な清算の幕開けであった。
